Pom Pom Jumper

I got my inspiration to create this ‘Pom Pom Jumper’ from, Zara. I have noticed these jumpers in Zara for while now but could never justify the price of £49.99.

However, because they looked so casual and comfy I decided to try make one myself.

Screen Shot 2017-11-16 at 20.20.34.jpgMy first step was to find an old jumper that I wouldn’t mind using for my DIY purposes.

I decided to use an old navy jumper that I had bought from Topshop a few years ago.

I had some pom poms lying around from the most amazing shop, ‘Flying Tiger’.

The packet I had contained all different colours of blue and then some grey.

This was a really simple task and felt so much better than spending around £50 on a jumper that you could make.

The pom poms where extremely easy to sew on. I found it easier to do when the jumper was inside out as the pom poms would stay in place.

I also did this by placing the pom poms in any random order. However, I do think I got a bit excited and went overboard with the amount of pom poms I put on but they can be easily removed.

I really enjoyed creating this jumper. It was so simple and creative and made me feel a lot better than spending too much money.
