Pastel Candle Holders

I recently bought two cream candle holders for £1 each from Sainsbury’s.

I do have a bit of an obsession with candles and candle holders. Therefore, I had to buy them!

After staring at these lanterns for a while, I finally realised that I had to do something to make them a bit more unique.

I was originally going to do all sorts like cover them in glitter but then decided, I would rather do something less messy and more simple.

I took a trip to Homebase for some inspiration and spent most of my time at the interior design paint where I fell in love with the ‘Duck egg blue’ colour.

I decided to go for a pastel theme, so I began my search for a baby pink. I ended up just buying a small cheap tester as I knew I wouldn’t need loads.

Firstly, I gave the lanterns a quick wipe as they were covered in dust. I only gave the lanterns one coat as I prefer light pastel but you could easily apply as many coats as you want.

I found this blog idea really fun, I really enjoy doing these kind of crafts as I get to be as creative as I want.

I hope you have enjoyed this and its given you some inspiration to make your homeware unique!
