I have had a plain black denim jacket for a while now and recently I started to get quite sick of it.
I wanted to add some colour to my jacket to brighten it up. I then came across this picture where there was a colourful design on the back of the jacket. Which gave me inspiration to be creative with mine.
Firstly, I looked out some old colourful tops that I hadn’t used for a while. I found a top that was like a net material with loads of pink, blue, green, yellow and orange beaded flowers over it. This was the perfect top to fit my vision. 🌸
I then began to cut out a rectangular shape from the top and placed it onto the back of the denim jacket.
The piece of material did look a bit messy at first but I folded the edges under so that I could create a neat straight line.
I sewed the materiel onto the jacket and went over it twice just so that I knew I wouldn’t fall off too easily.
It is something that I will definitely wear. I love how creative it looks, yet it was so simple.
