This blog idea is a great way for you to recycle t-shirts.
Knowing that the fashion industry is the second biggest polluter in the world, I like to recycle and revamp my clothes to try and help the situation.
This is an extremely simple task. You only need an old t-shirt and a cushion.
I started off by making sure the size of the T-shirt was going to be suitable for the cushion. You want the t-shirt to be quite a bit bigger than the cushion so that you can fold all the edges in, to create a nice shape.
Once I had put the t-shirt on the cushion I began to pull the neck area so that each side overlapped one another. I then simply sewed them together and did the exact same with the bottom end of the t-shirt.
The sleeves were quite tricky at first but all you do is pull them to one side of the cushion and keep them really tight as you sew it on. This does mean that you will only be able to have one side of the cushion shown but it still looks great.
This is a great idea if you are feeling bored of your cushions, by doing this DIY task they will now be so unique and quirky.
